High court rules vulnerable defendants deserve equal protection.

This is such an important decision on the high court. Parents with Asperger’s have been in family court proceedings and have been at a total disadvantage throughout the whole process. Worse still, because they process information differently from a Neuro Typical person, they have been accused of trying to evade the court and it has been concluded that there evidence is unreliable. The judge has then decided that they must have done something and are attempting to cover up and mislead the court. They have lost their children because of how they gave evidence.

They can only give evidence in the way they can and just because the court is ignorant to their condition does not mean that they have done or know something and are intentionally trying to be evasive.
